A PLACE TO DISCOVER
A little closer
to Peconic.
Chronicle Wines welcomes visitors at its Peconic Lane tasting room. The intimate interior provides a small-scale stop on a North Fork itinerary.
THE STORY BEHIND THE PLACE
History & heritage
Winemakers Alie Shaper and Robin Epperson-McCarthy opened their shared North Fork tasting room in 2017. In 2019 they brought their labels and community activities together under Chronicle Wines.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The vineyard experience
The Peconic Lane tasting room provides an intimate introduction to a collective of independent wine projects. Visitors can experience several labels in one place. Advance arrangements are offered for small private sessions with an owner or winemaker, while larger parties should contact the team about space.
THE WINES
A sense of their style
The collective includes Brooklyn Oenology, As If Wines, Haywater Cove and Saltbird Cellars, reflecting the founders’ separate winemaking backgrounds. CANette is their local-grape spritzer project. Ask which wines from the different labels are being presented on the day.
Styles describe the producer’s range, not a live tasting menu or inventory. Offerings change by vintage and season.
FOOD & THE TABLE
Something to enjoy alongside.
The tasting-room menu includes food and cheese boards; pop-up dining is also advertised on selected dates.
